Problem Statement / Constraints
Alright so this was actually a pretty awesome project. We were asked to create a circuit that caused a seven segment display to display our birth-dates as three switches were toggled, counting in binary. We were to use atleast one circuit of each logic type (AOI, NAND, NOR). I was gone for the better portion of the beginning of this project however I can explain the seven segment display briefly.
Basically it is 7 LED's, which means 7 separate circuits connecting to each LED. The LED's are arranged to form #'s and occasionally letters. Bellow is an example of a 7 segment display as well as charts showing what LEDs must be on in order to form a specific symbol.

Brainstorming
Alright so I was told not to put any personal information on this website but whatever, my birthday is 07/18/1995. To begin this project I first made a chart of what LEDs must be turned on to create my birthday, I also wrote what binary # this must be in order for the #'s to appear in order (including dashes). From this chart I wrote all of the unsimplified minterms for each LED (a-g).
From these I gained the simplified equations for each LED through K-mapping.
Because I have a preference for NAND logic, I was allowed to use three input NAND gates, and it was very efficient I decided to use NAND logic for most of my circuits except for the most simple. NOR was used on circuit E, and AOI was used on circuit G. The draft is below.
Final Design (For now)
Because we will be physically building this after Christmas break I have no physical circuit. So I am going to use my multisim circuit as my Final Design. Below is the circuit displaying my birthday.
